Special Half-Day Event 9am-12pm: WTA seeks youth and families to participate in a work party right in Vancouver's "backyard". Bring your child (and inner child) to connect with nature while building a new section of trail for future generations to enjoy.

NOTE: This special Half-Day work party begin at 9 am and end at noon. From the parking area it is about a 1/2 mile walk to the project site on a mostly flat trail.

This 300-acre regional park is located just north of Vancouver, immediately west of the Clark County Fairgrounds. The main feature of this park is 4.3 miles of trails that cater to hikers and horseback riders alike. This park is also an exceptionally pristine and tranquil forest environment, and is home to many types of wildlife, including woodpeckers, hawks, deer, flying squirrels, herons and beavers. Opportunities abound for wildlife viewing.

Driving directions:
Whipple Creek Park is in Ridgefield, WA just west of the Clark County Fairgrounds and north of Vancouver. From Downtown Vancouver take I-5 North exit #9, follow 179th St. west for 1.5 miles. Turn left (south) on NW 21st Ave. Go about .3 miles to a large gravel parking area at the end of the road.
