Soaring Eagle Natural Area is part of the King County Park system. It is the northern end of a regional trail system starting at I-90 and includes Grand Ridge, Duthie Hill and Beaver Lake Preserve. For this work party we will be doing some brushing and tread work.

Soaring Eagle is a 460 acre parcel above Issaquah that King County Parks has acquired, and will become part of the trail system that connects from I-90 north through Grand Ridge to Duthie Hill Park, north through Soaring Eagle. It contains many neighborhood trails that need repair and possible re-routes.

Driving directions:
From Seattle drive east on I-90 and take exit #18 (Sammamish). You are now on Highlands Drive. Stay on Highlands. At 2.6 miles from exit #18 you will go straight across the SE Issaquah Fall City Road. You are now on SE Issaquah Pine Lake Road and at 5 miles from exit #18 you will intersect 228th. Go right. At 6.3 miles from exit #18 make another right onto SE 8th (this will become 244th SE). At 7.8 miles make another right on East Main, drive to the end of the road at 9 miles. WTA will mark the trailhead. (Driving time from Seattle: approximately .50 hours).
