Mt Rainier

The Wonderland is Mount Rainier's icon trail that is over 96 miles long and encircles the entire Mountain. We will be working on the section from the Sunrise Campground up to Frozen Lake on Parks east side. Projects will include doing some retreading, trail delineation, drainage work and installing of water bars. This is the highest area of the park accessible by road and has some of the best views of the mountain. It is also on the dry side of the park so the weather should be great at this time of year.

The Wonderland trail is over 96 miles long and completely encircles Mt Rainier. It is one of the premier trails in Washington and the United States. It traverses many different ecological zones from deep forest to high alpine meadows. It offers some of the most spectacular views of the largest volcano in the Cascades.
