Lake Elizabeth by HeatherD

A short but pleasant trail around Lake Elizabeth.

Driving directions:
From Seattle, drive north on I-5 to Everett and take exit 194 (Hwy 2/Snohomish/Wenatchee). Drive east on US 2. After passing through the town of Gold Bar continue approximately 17 miles. Just before the tunnel turn right (south) towards Money Creek Campground. Follow the road for a mile (you will pass the campground) and there will be two roads branching off to the right. Turn onto the second, which is signed Miller River Road, and follow it for a hundred feet or so and turn right again onto Forest Service Road 6420. FSR 6420 turns to gravel, very rough in spots, and follows Money Creek. In about 6 miles you will see Lake Elizabeth on your right. Parking is along the side of the road. (Driving time from Seattle: approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.)
