Lower Dalles Falls by Bob and Barb

East of Enumclaw off Hwy 410. This hiker and mountain biker trail climbs through old growth timber and leads to nice views of the White River Valley. WTA will work to improve sections of the trail's tread which have had some washouts and small slides this past winter. We will also do any annual maintenance that is required.

The trail climbs through old growth timber and at mile .1 crosses Dalles Creek. The trail climbs and at 3.7 miles crosses Snoquera Creek. Good viewpoints at mile 4.7 and 5.7 of the White River Valley. At 6.6 miles the trail joins the Ranger Creek Trail.

Driving directions:
From Enumclaw drive southeast on State Highway 410 for 28.1 miles, to a wide area on the left (east) side of the highway. You will have passed the Dalles Campground approximately 1.5 miles before the trailhead. If you reach Camp Sheppard you will have gone too far. The Palisades Trail and the White River Trail share the same trailhead. (Driving time from Seattle: approximately 1.5 hours.)
